Sleep Better and Live Longer with Melatonin
It’s widely discussed that we as North Americans do not get enough quality rest. We either don’t spend enough time IN the sack - or we have poor quality sleep when we are there. This is a major problem!
Healthy lifestyle is known to mean good diet, and exercise habits… but it also means getting high quality rest! Doctors ask “are you getting enough sleep?” - Because it’s so vital to our health, and we need to take it seriously.
Our body is quite cleverly set up with its own sleep hormone called Melatonin that not only helps us fall asleep in the first place, but also has remarkable restorative properties. There is a catch though… the human body is an old design with primitive glands controlling many of our functions, including Melatonin production.
Our sleep hormone like our daytime hormone (Vitamin D) is linked to the sun.

As long as our eyes are open and light is coming in, the pineal gland interrupts melatonin production, because in a more primitive sense if there is light it’s time for us to be alert.
Every time you leave your TV on, stay up with your computer monitor, or read by a bedside light - your limiting the time your body will have to create this hormone (peak times being 2-4 am if you have a traditional sleep schedule).
Sleep is important; we all know it’s when we rest that our bodies and our minds can heal the most. A good sleep is only ONE part of how supplementing Melatonin can improve your health. It has glutathione enhancing, cell protecting, anti-oxidant, longevity enhancing, properties which are highly touted.
Melatonin is active in a liquid or fat state, allowing it to penetrate to your mitochondrial DNA, and cross the blood brain barrier. It provides one of our bodies most powerful antioxidants and fortifies the very energy source of our living molecules.

We frequently interfere with our natural ingrained sleeping pattern with artificial light sources but beyond that melatonin production goes down as we age. Meaning we create poor sleep cycles early in life which limit our body’s ability to heal, then as we age find quality sleep harder and harder to obtain while our health slowly deteriorates.
The AIS MAX group believes in a full and complete health based lifestyle, including good quality sleep! Melatonin is absolutely safe to supplement within recommended dosages, and is unlike any other ‘chemical’ sleeping pill with adverse effects. Better yet it’s cheap and readily available! Consider this the aismax.com official recommendation of sublingual (under the tongue) melatonin supplementation.
